Jayan Bhikha had graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) majoring in composition. He gained skills such as composing music for film and television, music recording, arranging and producing music.\n\nJayan's recent achievements include composing and producing music for a student documentary in 2018, which won the Outstanding Achievement award at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival. In 2017, he was awarded the composer in residence for the Auckland Youth Choir and was commissioned to write a composition for one of their concerts; and at the University of Auckland being awarded the first in course award for an audio production course. He has had compositions performed by the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, New Zealand Double Reed Society and the APO's ensemble ACE Brass trio.\n\nJayan has also scored music for films that have been entered into various film competitions such as the 48 hour film competition, Rode Reel and Tropfest.
